About Reid Ganly Family
Please sign in to see more.
My journey into the world of my ancestors is continuing to be a wonderful adventure.
My mother, Catherine Elizabeth Stephens was responsible for me commencing the journey in 1983 after she read about the death and burial of her brother in the newspaper.
Sadly I started the research after my father died so all my Paternal line information has come from relatives or friends who knew the Reid family.

Mum and I went on many trips to the cemeteries, visited where her family eventually settled in the 1850's, met many relatives that we had never heard of and saw some wonderful family treasures.

I have met and been in contact with some wonderful people who go out of their way to help me in my quest for that elusive ancestor, cousin, aunty, uncle, etc.

I have always been interested in Ireland and Scotland for some unknown reason and now I know why. My Paternal line come from Scotland and my Maternal line come from Ireland as well as many places in England.

My family have given me sad, amazing coincedences, happy and amazing stories along the way.
